Zenoss Declares Keynote for GalaxZ18

Zenoss Inc. the leader in software-defined IT operations, recently declared Mark Schwartz, corporate strategist and evangelist at Amazon Web Services Inc.(AWS), as keynote speaker at GalaxZ18, the fourth annual Zenoss user conference.

which will be held from June 20 to 22, 2018 at the JW Marriott of the Live Monitoring Capital of the World, Austin, Texas.

Schwartz joined AWS in July 2017. In this position, he works with business technology executives to share experiences and strategies to increase speed and agility with the cloud while dedicating more of their resources to their clients.

Schwartz has extensive experience as an IT leader in government, the private sector and the non-profit world, in addition to organizations that vary in size, from small businesses to huge agencies.

Prior to joining AWS, he was the Information Director (CIO) of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for the Department of Homeland Security.

There, he led a major digital transformation effort: moving the agency to the cloud, introducing and refining the DevOps and Agile techniques, and adopting user-centered design approaches.

Prior to USCIS, Schwartz was CIO of the Intrax Cultural Exchange, a leader in global youth exchange programs and CEO of a software company.

He is the author of The Art of Business Value and Seat at the Table: IT Leadership in the Age of Agility and lectures at international conferences on topics such as DevOps, leading change, driving innovation in IT and managing agility in bureaucratic organizations.

Schwartz holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Yale University and an MBA from Wharton.
